HAVE YOURSELF A CAREFREE CHRISTMAS

Party time. Christmas is also coming to the various concepts of the Milan of our fantasies.
Just step over the threshold and we are catapulted into worlds of enchantment, similar to ours... but not quite the same.

Mr. and Mrs. Orsini are window shopping but they are very distracted, all they can think of is dinners and delicacies: which will be the most spectacular menu? The De Giraffis, on the other hand, with their heads “in the clouds” that they find themselves in, risk celebrating Christmas again this year on Boxing Day and NewYear’s Eve in January on the Day of the Lord’s Epiphany. <<Oh yes, this is how they are, but we love them all the same>> say Mr and Mrs Penguin who, at this time of year, are working as temporary Christmas decorations in a very elegant shop and see them walking by on the other side of the street. Then, as still as statues, beady eyes and seemingly silent they think in unison <<We are the real life and soul of the party anyway and... they are paying us too>> The Gallo couple are acting very oddly indeed, shopping for them is a whole other Olympian effort. One step forward, three steps back, one to the side and eyes that are dancing the same ballet, back and forth from the windows to the shopping list. <<OK, we’ve got the present for Mr. Leo, let’s just hope that he doesn’t already have the fluorescent pink Birkenbrocks, worst case scenario we can always regift them
to Uncle Rino...>> Renata and Renato Renna head to the travel agency to collect their tickets. This year they gifted themselves a wonderful trip to Lapland, including a large family reunion, which (surprise, surprise!) will also be attended by their Canadian cousins. <<Great, just like 20 years ago they will tell us the old stories from Ontario. Let’s just hope they don’t want to show us the usual billion photographs.>> Elena (called Ele) and Daniele (Lele to his friends) Fanti, padding along almost in slow motion, almost anti-gravitational, almost moonwalking, decided to take it easy <<What if we go ever so lightly this Christmas, without taxing our brains or worrying too much? After all, this is no small matter. Happiness is a right. Like the right to trumpet. I love you Ele, I love you too Lele>>

The lightness of things that last forever... like Christmas.
